Yep, good old fat pictures of me at the hospital. I absolutely HATE those pictures right before and right after you have a baby, but oh well, i am over it!!! My doctor was my sister's best guy friend growing up. Everyone asked if that was weird, it was kind of, but i knew that he TRULY cared about me and my baby which was nice, and he did a great job!The labor was really fast . I only pushed for like 20 minutes which was awesome, but then we had complications afterward with blood clots and throwing up and all that fun stuff afterward. But like always it was a wonderful experience. For some reason, i LOVE having a baby. I love the labor and pushing part. Probably cause it is so rewarding and i feel like a tough mamma!!! =)It took us till the very last minute to name her which we decided....Samantha Ryan Ebeltoft

Matti learning to ride a bike

Last summer Ryan just decided to teach matti how to ride her bike without training wheels.It was successful!!! But the funny thing is after like the 2nd time trying she did the falling into a bush!!!! She got scratched up a little bit, but that didn't stop her. I am so proud of her! She loves it so much and still needs practice, but she is just getting so big. Love that girl!!

One of my goals this year is to be better at blogging. I really suck at this stuff!!! Well, so my excuse was that i had like 600 pictures on my camera and it would reload all of them onto my computer and it would take forever. so i started cleaning my camera out and still need to finish, but no more excuses cause i want to start using this as kind a journal too.....so here it goes!!!

My trip to Sanfrancisco....and Jackie's wedding

One of my older brothers, Ryan and i flew together to go to Jackie's wedding. We flew in to see our other brother Jared and his wife that was due that week and stayed with them.We went out to eat that night, and then the next morning we drove to the wedding. It was so good to see the kids and jackie. I was 8 months pregnant and had about 5 or six weeks left. So during the wedding me being a sissy and prego, cried.....no BAWLED the whole freakin time!!! Luckily i was wearing sun glasses!!! It was really one of the hardest things i have ever had to do. Watch my sister in law marry someone else and watching those kids walk down the aisle towards a whole new life. I love them so much and pray for them all the time that they are happy and doing well. It was a hard and good experience at the same time. I am glad that i got to go. After the wedding ryan and i stayed the night with my folks in a hotel and then left the next morning to go back to jareds to stay a few more days. We ate out a lot, went to san fran, and then the night before we left katie went into labor and we stayed and watched ben for them so they could go to the hospital. It was really cool how that happened and we got to go see the new baby before we went to the airport. What a fun trip!!!!

Not too much new stuff going on, but here is the front porch with the slate, it isn't grouted, but i had to post it anyway cause i just love it!!!

The front still has more painting to do on it, but they added some more white, and actually the stairs are painted white now woo, but they added that darker grey on the bottom there and i just LOVE it!!! I told Ryan i want more of that color!!! I would have done the whole house that color, but ryan didn't trust me!!! =) So, we are trying to decide what to do still with the darker grey and we have a marroonish red color going to accent it too!

Fireworks!!

Here we are doing fireworks, this is Saturday night with my parents and Ryan's parents together. Jackie and her kids came into town for a couple of weeks and we have just been having a lot of fun. Matti loved the fireworks, but Sophie well, the top picture is her and kenzie sitting on ryan's mom holding and "comforting" the baby telling it that it isn't scary and that fireworks are fun! Sophie just kept saying "no more mommy, no more again". It was really cute, but really sad. Maybe next year they both will love it!

Hospital visit!

We were at a baptism a couple of weeks ago(i know this is late), and we were heading out the door and i heard this unfamiliar bloody murder scream.......it was Sophie! She had been playing with the door going out, which those are huge and heavy, and she had smashed her finger in the hinge part. Ryan got there first, and as i come running over i just glanced at her finger and we ran out the door saying "oh great, broken finger, hospital trip here we come!" and grabbed matti and ran. Luckily we weren't that far away from the hospital, but this picture is us waiting in the hall way for our turn. She had smashed really good. I don't like that kind of stuff too much but ryan said that her finger was smashed, twisted and bent upward. Well, to make a long story short, we got in.....finally, got x-rays, then doctor, and no broken finger!!! AMAZING!!! By the time the doctor got there her finger had straightened itself out, and was just swollen! They wrapped up her finger in tape and dosed/doped her up with tylenol and codien, and sent us on our way. We then went and got her medicine at walgreens and waited there for an hour and a half and got home finally at like 11:45!!! Fun night!!! I love this picture cause it just shows how strong my little girl is!! She was crying of course, but she really was just kind of whining more than crying! If it were matti that happened to, it would be a whole different story!!! =)

Dangit i suck at turning pictures around. Oh well.....this was so funny i had to post it. Matti wanted to help me do the laundry so this is her reaching into the washer and getting what she could and then throwing them into the dryer. Then she decided that she couldn't get to the rest so she got inside and finished the job! What a great helper she is!!

Matti had to take this yucky medicine a couple of times a day and still is taking it, but at first i had to bribe her with the old trick"if you take it good for so many days i will take you to the zoo" and it actually worked. She stopped complaining and i had to hold up my end of the bargain. This day was funny though. I went with my sister and sister-in law and we went and ate lunch first and it rained the whole time. About 5 minutes after we were done eating it cleared up and got all sunny again. so we decided to go try out the zoo. We were there for about and hour and half and about 5 minutes after we left it started pouring again. Thankyou weather for cooperating for us just while we were at the zoo! It was fun!

Ryan's 31st Birthday!

My hubby turned 31 a couple of months ago....i know i am soooooooo behind on this blogging thing!!! A couple of days before his birthday i asked what kind of cake he wanted and he said jokingly he wanted a twinkie cake so of course i had to do it even though he was joking. And then i also had to make a chocolate one for the rest of the family who are all HUGE chocolate lovers.

Here are some finally updated pictures of the house. We did a blueish grey in the front room, and a grey in the kitchen and master room and bathroom. The pictures don't really do it's justice, but that is the best you are going to get for now!! I am in love with it!! It has been a LLLLOOOOONNNNGGGGG journey building it, but i am finally seeing the end result and it is soooo worth it. The odd picure of the grass looking thing is acually a duck in my front of the yard sitting on 7 of her eggs. Odd place. My dad actually was pulling a bunch of tall weeds around the house and was almost done before he realized the eggs sitting there. What a good mommy!! you keep those eggs warm!!!

Justin's birthday

My brother Justin's birthday was on April 30th. He was turning 36 this year.So this is us at his grave site letting go of 36 balloons that had letters and pictures and anything you wanted to put in the balloons for him. The day was a really hard day, but doing this part at the end was actually a lot of fun and more of a celebration just the way he would have wanted it. LOVE YOU JUSTIN!!

This was fun and NOT fun for me realizing that my little girl is growing up and going to kindergarten in just a couple of months. I am really excited for her, but i am going to have a hard time cause she is such a good helper to her mommy. I love my little matti. She had so much fun doing all of the centers that she didn't want to leave. hey, i just hope that she says that about school! =)

We had two easter egg hunts, one at both grandparents.....you can only imagine how much crap they got!!! =) it sure was a lot of fun though this year with both of the kids knowing what to do and me being able to walk around and enjoy taking pictures of it all.

My friend Emily and i got tegether and she showed me how she makes an easter bunny cake every year. That was quite the experience too.....i suck at frosting cakes.....the kids sure had fun decorating it though!! Or in other words eating the candy, however you want to put it! =)

Here we are ATTEMPTING to dye easter eggs......first time went pretty well, except for sophie spilling the blue everywhere, but then one broke and i realized that the eggs were not done yet, so my mother in law put them all into the big pot again and cooked them again. We then had to re-dye them again in which sophie spilled the green all over.....after that spill, my patience was gone so we were done!! hey,it was fun while it lasted?=)

Coyote say what?!!!

So there was a random knock at the door yesterday and it was one of my neighbor's from the ward and he asks if i know what is in my backyard.....um....no....so he tells me that there is a coyote in the back. Sure enough after looking for a minute, it was right in front of my face!!! But by the time i got back inside it had moved back a little, but for two days now we have been watching this coyote out in the field behind our house. That was so awesome of my neighbor to come by. He said that he thought i would like to see one. Ummmm....yeah!! my husband goes out hunting these guys, and i just had to look in my backyard!!! =)

I know i suck at reversing pictures so they actually make sense, but this one was when we were over at ryan's parents house and she was just relaxing on this chair with the massage thing going. She must have been there for at least 10 minutes like that!!

Sophie, Sophie, Sophie.....what can i say about her? She cracks me up!! The other day for her nap i heard her playing before like she always does till she falls asleep, well when i went to wake her up i found her like this......she was NOT wearing that dress before she went to sleep!!! Her favorite thing to do is play "Barbie" which is her word for dress up!! She loves to even sleep in her barbie dresses i guess!! =)

early rising, waiting, and fun times?

This week both of my girls had to get tubes in their ears. That was quite the adventure. They had to wake up at 5:30 ....which they have NEVER had to wake up even close to that. And then when we get there all it was was just a bunch of waiting. We waited in the lobby for like an hour and then we moved to the next room and waited there for like an hour, and then they took each kid at different times to the back and did the surgery which only took like 10 minutes! And then for each kid we had to wait some more for 30 minutes in recovery!Awesome!!! Kids LOVE to wait! ....actually, i am so blessed with patient kids. I even had nurses tell me that i have good kids. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but i am so grateful that it is over and so grateful that grandma came with us! i could NOT have done it with out her!

This picture is one of my favorites.....here it is about 6 o clock in the morning . OBVIOUSLY, they are loving the early morning .......and waiting.

Here is my lovely mom helping us make some yummy valentines cookis. I should have taken a picture of the frosting that i made. It was a new recipe and i totally screwed it up and kept adding stuff to it to make it decent. They actually turned out pretty yummy if i could say so my self!

Obviously, this is one of my girls' favorite things to do.....getting naked and doing crafty things......just like mommy(except for the naked part....or maybe not!)

Oh my gosh!!! My house is coming along!! They are doing the insulation right now and will be doing the sheet rocking in the next couple of days. I am going to have walls soon!!!! I am so lucky to have a husband that can do all of this and build us a beautiful house. We have not seen each other much for the past 7 months and i know how much my kids miss him and how much ryan misses our kids, but the just knowing that in a couple of months i will have a brand new house that my wonderful husband and dad has built gets me through being a single mother! Ilove you ryan !!!

Christmas break!!

This is Hallie, Garrett, Olivia, Cameron and matti all laying on my parents bed watching a movie. It was just too cute to not take a picture of them.

My family puts together the manger scene every christmas with all of the grandkids while my dad reads the nativity story. This year was very special because even though my brother wasn't there in person, his kids were and i am pretty sure that his spirit was there with us during christmas.How precious is that picture of all of the grandkids! I love them ALL SO MUCH!!

Cameron, Matti, Garrett, and Olivia are all about a year apart. They are so sweet and had so much fun together. The last time they were all together was 5 months ago when my brother passed away.

Santa is coming to town!!!

My parents had santa come over a few days before christmas and suprised all of the kids. It was so much fun. Santa had each of all of the 13 grandkids sit on his lap and he handed them a little present and a candy cane and a stocking with candy in it.It was so much fun and we hope that santa will visit again next year!! =)

This cake was A LOT easier than Matti's cake, and i think it still turned out pretty cute! I had to do Dora....she is completely OBSESSED with her!

The 1st picture( i know it is sideways....woops) was her actual birthday when we were in Utah...she was NOT a happy camper that day. We celebrated her birthday a few days earlier before we left ....she got spoiled like always, and had a lot of fun playing with all of her cousins and her new toys.

Zuleikah(my sister in law) had spent 3 days making this cupcake costume for her daughter and when the time came to put it on, she wouldn't wear it and was very dissapointed....so i put it on and strut myself around town with it.....it actually was kind of heavy and awkward...no wonder why she didn't want to wear it!

The loss of my brother

My oldest brother was killed in a plane accident a couple of weeks ago. He was only 35 but lived his life as if he were 80! He had 5 wonderful kids and the most beautiful wife. He is the most loving and respected brother. He loved those kids and his wife more than anything.He influenced everyone he met in some way or another. We sure are going to miss him, but i am so grateful for the gospel and to know that families are forever and that i will see him again. We love you Justin!

My little baby big girl turned 4 yesterday. I can't believe it. She is so much fun and gets even funner the older she gets. We had a party last night and it was so much fun. I made her a princess cake that I think turned out pretty darn cute if i can say so myself and it was actually a lot of fun to do. We had an astro jump for the kids, shaved ice, and yummy snacks. I think matti just had a blast. Thanks everyone that came and for the wonderful gifts that made matti even more spoiled!! I can't help it she is so darn cute!!=)

Breaking ground.....finally!!

This is our house that ryan is building. It won't be done for another year cause he is doing most of it with a full time job.It is right next door to my sister and around the corner from my parents in meridian. We finally started a couple of weeks ago and now they have the basement walls up. We are so excited but going to be sad to move out of the ward. We have lots of people always helping on it so if anyone feels like they want to help feel free! =) I have a wonderful husband !

No picture...just crazy words!!So, matti and i were watching something on t.v. yesterday and she saw some girl kissing a boy and she says "girls not kiss boys" and i said why? and she says " girls kiss girls" WHAT THE HECK?? where on earth did that come from. So i explained to her that when she gets BIG like mommy she will kiss a boy like daddy. Well, i had to explain this to the whole world yesterday cause she was very excited that she gets to kiss someday!! uh oh!!where did my sweet innocent girl go?

SO...anyone up for a new potato soup recipe? I have one here for you. my day started out fine, but as i went to cook dinner for the missionaries i cooked them brownies.....forgot about them so burnt them almost to a crisp, and then tried making potato soup and guess what lovely thing i did. Instead of flour to thicken it.....i put POWDERED SUGAR!!!! 2/3 cup to be exact!!! you could only guess how awesome that tasted!! So we ended up going out with them instead !!! People like me should not have cooked today!!! =) Let me know if anyone wants the recipe!! ha ha!!

Tiff and i ran the Race for the Cure last weekend....it was a blast and OBVIOUSLY this was us BEFORE we ran it! =)

I have a FABULOUS friend that has been helping me coupon i won't mention her name....emily...=) i got all of this for under 5 bucks! NOW i know what adrenaline rushes are!!!i thought running did the trick for me but boy was i wrong!!! I only wonder why i didn't meet em earlier! Thanks babe!

The Best Day Ever!!

So Matti loves Spongebob and on one of the episodes it is called the best day ever and there is a catchy song that is on it too( We happen to know most of it). We have been a little behind on decorating for Christmas because of some reasons, but yesterday after church i told matti we were going to decorate the christmas tree. As we start she says"this is the best day ever" and then starts singing the song from spongebob. Oh it WAS the best day ever! I love how she is SO into Christmas this year!

This last weekend we had a booth at the Christmas show down at the fair grounds and ryan put all of his kids furniture that he has built for our girls these past few years.This picture just does NOT do the justice, but i thought i would put it up anyway. We didn't sell anything there at the show because people were there to buy the cheap little stuff, but tonight he got 2 phone calls and sold 3 kitchens ! Yeay Ryan!

Happy Birthday Sophie! It was her B-day Nov. 14th. I know, i am a little slow on this blogging thing. I can't believe that she is one already. This year went so dang fast. We had lots of fun celebrating her birthday with everyone. And of course she got spoiled like always. It is always so much fun watching them dig into their 1st cake.......and the cleanup is always so fun too!=)

Ryan's sister gave Matti a gift certificate to Monkey Dooz for her B-day and we finally went and used it. Oh my gosh was that the funnest thing ever!! Matti was in seventh heaven, I was in seventh heaven watching her....it was so dang cute how they just treat them like they are more than just princesses, they are QUEENS!!! They do your nails, your make-up, your hair, dress you up in boas ....the whole works! But just one small thing they are missing to make a woman happy....chocolate!!=)Thanks again Rachael you are the best!!

Boo at the Zoo

We went to Boo at the Zoo this last weekend with Ryan's sister Rachael and Gavin and their cutest baby ever Darian. I was a little dissapointed in the zoo part although they DID get some new animals finally. The lions and the Girraffes were cool, but the zoo was just so busy and overwhelming and it cost WAY too much ! But it was fun going all dressed up and the kids had fun i think.It was kind of a warm day so Matti and sophie made me take off their costumes near the beginning of the trip so i only got a few pictures of them all dressed up for Halloween. Oh well, cute anyway!
